Acupuncture for Inflammation

It’s always great to hear about new studies that confirm what so many of us have already experienced: Acupuncture works!

A recent study by Neuron has found that acupuncture can successfully reduce inflammation. Specifically, the study found that three factors determine how a patient responds to acupuncture: site (where the needles are placed), intensity (how strong the treatment is) and timing (when acupuncture is administered).

I’ve written a lot about how every acupuncture treatment is different—even for the same person. This is why! Every patient is unique, and every symptom stems from a unique place in your body, meaning every visit is specific to your needs and underlying factors in that moment.

Site. Intensity. And timing.

The Neuron study is another step toward helping people understand how acupuncture is used, and the many ways it can help relieve pain, anxiety, inflammation and much more. And put you on the path to wellness for dozens of other ailments.

As so many of us know, inflammation can cause redness, swelling, the sensation of heat, pain and even loss of function. And it can be caused by any number of both internal and external factors, including physical injuries, trauma, diet and bacteria. The list is long. When you’re ready to find some relief, we’re here to help

In health and wellness, Julie
